5 Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations? 6 Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee? 7 Shew us thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us thy salvation. 8 I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly. 9 Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land. 10 Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. 11 Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven. 12 Yea, the LORD shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase. 13 Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps.
When down trodden and oppressed through their sins, Jesus Christ looked upon them, changed their sad condition, chased away the invaders, and given to his people rest: this he had done not once, nor twice, but times without number. Many a time have we also been brought into soul captivity by our backslidings or sins, but we have not been left therein; the God who brought Jacob back to his father's house, has restored us to the enjoyment of holy fellowship; —will he not do the like again? There is hope for the homosexual. There is hope for the drug addict. There is hope for the lost sinner. Let us appeal to GOD with "Jacob like wrestlings", begging him to be favourable, or merciful to us notwithstanding all our provocations of his love. Let declining churches remember their former history, and with holy confidence plead with the Lord to turn their captivity yet again. Such were some of us.....but we have been washed. Maybe it was not the sin of homosexuality that had us in captivity. But it was sin all the same. Let us pray for the lost souls and NEVER let us forget where God brought US from.
Have we learned the power of sharing personal struggle and pain in a way that could touch others' in their place of struggle & pain? I am reminded of what God can do through us, and that God DOES USE US! We may not always be aware of it, but God does use us. I am thankful for special occasions when we are made aware of God's work in us.... I wonder if a lot of Apostolics are forgetting the message of LOVE in the midst of all the disagreements and debates. Let it never be said that we forget what being a Christian is all about. Let it never be said about you nor I......
Yes,if you can live right. I belive what you do but can't stop living like a demon, committing many manners of sin with the inability to stop the lust making me do what I know is wrong. And I fear death for I know my final home will be in the lake of fire.
